IoT Freeway offers micropower, long range, low cost communications technology with
which to enable the Internet of Things, Machine to Machine communications and
precision positioning indoors and out. Available to carriers, equipment manufacturers as
well as for closed networks and self-contained vertical markets.
Legacy technologies for positioning and communications, ranging from GNSS/GPS for
positioning, Bluetooth Low energy, WiFi, to LTE, GS, CDMA etc. for communications
are by their nature fundamentally incapable of fulfilling IoT and M2M needs, because
decades ago they were not designed to do so but meant for the purposes of their time.
For carriers that have already purchased spectrum, the system may operate on
licensed bands with even greater flexibility and performance than it already offers on
the unlicensed. Or it can operate simultaneously on both licensed and unlicensed
bands as its operation on one has no effect on the other. This technology is tailored to
IoT and M2M, where all existing systems ar eby their nature fundamentally incapable
of meeting their needs.
